SERVICES

The mission of A.C.C.E.S.S. Academy Inc. is to assist students with disabilities in building life-long skills that will allow for optimal independence and participation within our community. Our services will consist of transition services, adult day training, life skills training, behavior therapy, respite care and more. Our core values are rooted in the belief that access is the key to full community life for children and adults with disabilities – one person at a time.

PRIVATE THERAPEUTIC TRANSITION EDUCATION

(Ages 14-22)

High school students are grouped according to their ages and abilities, enabling both age-appropriate educational experiences and, perhaps even more important, age-appropriate social interaction.

Students in grades nine through twelfth and ages fourteen through twenty-two, participate daily in a unique prevocational program designed to develop skills and attitudes that enhance their social development and allow them to participate in meaningful cooperative work. Working individually or in small groups, students rotate through various prevocational crews.

As in their earlier school years, high school students receive small group and individualized instruction addressing their unique needs.

A.C.C.E.S.S. Academy is an intensive, hands on, career centered training program. We bring community resources into our program, train students on specific job related skills needed in today's top employable industries, and incorporate academic, social, and vocational tools necessary to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
